Exchanges

Refunds

For select kurtis, we offer a Comprehensive Return Option, giving you the flexibility to return your purchase for any reason within the return window. This option allows you to enjoy the following benefits:

  • Flexible Returns: Return your kurti if it doesn’t meet your expectations, even if it’s not defective or incorrect.
  • Ease of Return: Available for specific kurtis as detailed in the product description. This option may not apply to all items, so please check the details on the product page.

2. Defective or Incorrect Item Return:

For kurtis where the Comprehensive Return Option is not available, we provide a Defective or Incorrect Item Return option. Under this policy:

  • Eligible Returns: Return your kurti if it arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect as per the order.
  • Specific Reasons: Returns are accepted only if the issue is due to an error on our part, such as the wrong size, color, or a defective product.

Return Costs

  • Comprehensive Return Option: Enjoy free returns on eligible kurtis, regardless of the reason for the return.
  • Defective or Incorrect Item Return: Returns are also free if the issue with your kurti is due to a fault on our end, including problems like incorrect delivery, damage, or defects.

Note: To ensure a smooth return process, please verify the following conditions for free returns:

  • Incorrect Product: Wrong size, color, or a completely different item from what was shown.
  • Defective Product: Items that are dirty, stained, broken, torn, or incomplete.
  • Quantity Issues: Less quantity than ordered or missing parts.

Before initiating a return, please ensure the following:

  • Product Quality: The returned item must be in merchantable condition, meaning it should be unused and in its original packaging.
  • Performance: If applicable, confirm that the product has not experienced a decline in performance.

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Eligibility Check: Verify if your product qualifies for a return within the specified return period listed on the product detail page.
  2. Create a Return Request: Navigate to the ‘My Orders’ section on our platform and submit a return request. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete this process.
  3. Return ID: Once your request is processed, a Return ID will be generated for tracking.

If you purchased multiple items in one order, you can initiate separate return requests for each item. Ensure that the items are ready for pickup by our delivery partners if you have scheduled a return.

Exchanges

To check if your product is eligible for an exchange, consult the order details page under ‘My Orders’. Exchanges are subject to stock availability and other criteria such as serviceable addresses and seller ratings.

Please Note:

  • Exchange Eligibility: The reason for exchange and the availability of the product will determine eligibility. Products are not eligible for exchange if the reason is a change of mind or product quality issues.
  • Price Differences: If the exchanged product costs more than the original, you will need to pay the difference. Conversely, if it costs less, we will refund the difference.
  • Exchange Process: The request must be made within the return window specified on the product detail page. If the desired exchange product is unavailable, your request may be converted to a return at our discretion.

Important: Exchanges are limited to a single transaction per order. No further exchanges will be processed for the same order once a product has been exchanged.

Returns

When arranging a return, our delivery partner may conduct a quality check to confirm that the product meets our return criteria. If a product does not pass this quality check, it will not be eligible for return, and a refund will not be issued. Returns will be processed from the same address where the original delivery was made.

Upon receipt of the returned item, it will undergo a thorough quality inspection. If the product meets our standards for return, a refund will be initiated. However, if the product does not meet these standards, it will be shipped back to you at your expense, and no refund will be processed.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a product purchased from our platform, you can do so within the specified exchange period. Please note that exchanges are only possible for the same product, not for a different item. Here’s how to get started with your exchange:

  1. Check Eligibility: If an exchange is possible for your product, you’ll find the option under the ‘My Orders’ section on our platform.
  2. Request Exchange: Create an ‘exchange request’ in the ‘My Orders’ section and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. Multiple Items: For orders with multiple products, you can request exchanges for individual items.
  4. Exchange ID: After your request is processed, you will receive an Exchange ID.
  5. Prepare for Pickup: Ensure the product is in its original packaging with all tags and accessories intact. The product should be unused, unworn, and in its original condition.
  6. Exchange Process: Once the item is handed over to the delivery agent, the exchanged product will either be delivered to you separately or at the time of pick-up, depending on our discretion.

Please note that during the pick-up, the delivery agent may perform a quality check. If the product does not meet our criteria, the exchange will not be processed.

General Guidelines for Returns and Exchanges

To ensure a smooth return or exchange process, please make sure the product:

  • Remains in its pristine state with all original packaging, tags, and accessories undamaged.
  • Shows no signs of wear, damage, or modification.
  • Is unused, unwashed, and free of stains, with any quality check seals or tags intact.
  • Matches the product that was delivered to you.

The returned or exchanged product’s IMEI, name, image, brand, serial number, article number, or barcode must match our records. Additional conditions may apply based on the specific product details.

Address and Eligibility: Ensure that your address and the item you wish to return or exchange comply with our policy.

Pickup Availability: If a return is not eligible for pickup, you will not have the option to return the item.

Once your return is approved, a refund will be processed after we receive the product. For exchanges, you will receive the new product as per your request.

For a smooth return or exchange process, please ensure that any electronic devices, such as those storing personal data, are thoroughly wiped and reset before sending them back. Modal Fashion cannot be held responsible for any misuse of information left on returned devices. Additionally, remember to disable any screen locks and format the device as needed.

Return & Exchange Policy

Our kurtis are typically returnable or exchangeable within 7 days of delivery. Please check the individual product details for any specific exceptions. Note that once a product has been returned or exchanged, it cannot be returned or exchanged again.

Refunds

How Will I Receive My Refund?

Refunds are processed to the original payment method after deducting any applicable return costs. If you paid through a bank account, the refund will be credited to that same account. For cash on delivery payments, you can choose to receive the refund either as a bank transfer or as store credit with Modal Fashion. If opting for a bank transfer, please provide accurate account details to avoid any issues with the refund process.

Refund Processing Time

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Credit/Debit Cards, Net Banking, UPI Linked Bank Accounts: 3-7 business days
  • Cash on Delivery (Refund to Bank Account): 3-7 business days after we receive your updated bank account details
  • Modal Fashion Balance: Up to 2 business days

For any discrepancies or additional information required for your refund, such as bank statements, we may reach out to you to ensure a smooth process.

Easy Returns and Instant Refunds

At Modal Fashion, we want your shopping experience to be as seamless as possible. That’s why we offer a straightforward and efficient Instant Refund process for our valued customers. Here’s how it works:

Fast Refund Processing

For cash-on-delivery orders, we initiate an Instant Refund as soon as our delivery partners successfully pick up your return. Expect your refund to be processed within 4 hours, and it will appear in your bank account within 3 to 7 business days, or as Modal Fashion Balance within 2 business days.

Eligibility for Instant Refund

To qualify for an Instant Refund, your return must meet the following conditions:

  • The return must be for a cash-on-delivery order.
  • The product must have passed a quality check and been marked as picked up by our delivery partners. We reserve the right to refuse the return if the product is damaged, incorrect, or does not meet our standards.

Technical Considerations

If technical issues prevent the delivery partner from marking your return correctly in our system, we may not be able to process the Instant Refund. This includes scenarios where products are mistakenly marked as canceled or where tracking details are not updated properly.

Exceptions to Instant Refunds

Please note that Instant Refunds are not available for:

  • Returns that require manual intervention, such as missing products or issues with the delivery partner’s tracking information.
  • Returns initiated through self-shipment rather than our designated delivery agents.
  • Returns involving additional products not originally included in the return request.
  • Purchases made through resellers on our platform.

Additionally, if there are technical issues such as bank server downtime or disruptions on our platform, processing delays may occur.

Important Information

Ensure that your bank details or UPI ID are provided accurately to avoid delays. Modal Fashion reserves the right to refuse an Instant Refund if we detect any fraud or malpractice.
